Elden Ring Performance Pc

Unless you have been living under a rock for the last few days, you’re probably aware of Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s new action RPG has received universal critical praise, scoring an incredible 95 on Metacritic. However, that isn’t to say that it doesn’t have any problems. Many reviews of the PC version of Elden Ring, including our very own, cited numerous performance issues.

Thankfully, publisher Bandai Namco has not hesitated to speak out on the matter. In a post on its official website, Bandai Namco addressed several of Elden Ring‘s biggest problems. It stated that the issues are going to be revised and then apologized for any inconvenience caused in the meantime.

The identified issues with Elden Ring include its inconsistent performance, compatibility issues with Easy Anti-Cheat, and overly sensitive mouse controls. The latter two issues shouldn’t be too hard to fix, but optimizing a game post-launch is never an easy task. Especially for such a vast open-world title like Elden Ring.

The blog post rounded off by assuring players that the developer is working on a range of bug fixes and performance improvements.  Although, it is not currently known when players should expect these improvements to be implemented. Given the issues at launch, we hope that it’s sooner rather than later.

One of the best ever?

It’s hard to say for sure what makes a game an all-time great. But, judging by the reception Elden Ring received from both critics and gamers alike, it seems to tick all of the boxes. Even with its performance issues, Elden Ring is a special game.

Of all the PC games on Metacritic, only six have ever outscored it: BioShock, Half-Life, The Orange Box, Grand Theft Auto V, Half-Life 2, and Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. It goes without saying that Elden Ring has proven itself as one of the industry’s best. And with FromSoftware’s continued support it can only get better.
