Far Cry 6 “Sword-Crossed Lovers” treasure hunt guide: How to get the La Petite Mort unique grenade launcher
“Sword-Crossed Lovers” is a treasure hunt that you can stumble upon in Far Cry 6. I was able to obtain a clue that led me to it from a note in front of San Rafael Hospice. The building itself is at the eastern edge of Barrial in the Valle de Oro region. You can see it on the map below.
To clarify, you don’t need to beeline straight for San Rafael Hospice. There’s actually an operation/main mission that you’ll get as you progress further in the Valle de Oro arc. It’s called Lost and Found, and it takes you to the building.
So, what exactly does the “Sword-Crossed Lovers” treasure hunt entail? Well, you’ll need to head to the marked location to enter a cavern. This has a shipwreck that became a tourist attraction. It’s even got a nifty skull outline on the minimap.
It’s completely abandoned now, but you’ll hear Dani quip about cringe-worthy taglines like “Yarrr-a.” It’s a pirate ship, so what can you expect?
Simply traverse the passageway until you reach a large chamber with the shipwreck. The idea here is to swim down below first. You should see an opening and a grapple point.
Use your grapple to climb back on the deck. Then, fire the cannon to blow up the rock formation and create an opening. Use the grapple again and swing back up top. Past the metal gate, you’ll find a chest with the La Petite Mort grenade launcher. This will also complete Far Cry 6‘s “Sword-Crossed Lovers” treasure hunt.
Here are the mods of the La Petite Mort unique grenade launcher in Far Cry 6:
- Poison Grenade – The projectile explodes and creates a cloud of poison after a short delay; can cause enemies to turn on each other.
- Gunslinger – Improves draw and holster speed.
- Press Your Advantage – Improves weapon damage versus enemies at low health.
